When most people think of turtles, they think of slow-moving reptiles that do little to strike fear in the hearts of humans.

Yea where I live in Tennessee, Snapping turtles have been known to drag dogs under and eat them. Turtles aren't slow like people think. They are very quick and aggressive. Some snappers grow large and strong enough to take off the better part of a mans hand.
trufax, Me and my sister came across an alligator turtle in the middle of the road once, and it was huge, tried to shoo it to the other side and it jumped, spun round and began to chase her.
It was rather fast too….
